Obituary of Ricky Keith Jones

Ricky Keith Jones, 68, passed away, November 12, 2020. He was born June 16,1952 to the late William H. Jones, Jr. and Geraldine P. Jones.

Rick is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann; daughters, Autumn (Allen) Furniss of Elgin, Charity Chavis; sons, Keith (Consuela) Jones of Lugoff and Ricky (Candace) Chavis of Reidsville, SC; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He is also survived a sister, Vickie Fowler Sneary of Lima, OH and a brother, Billy Jones of Taylors, SC.

Rick was a former Pastor of First Baptist Church, North, SC and Church Administration of Chapin Baptist Church, Chapin, SC.

Services will be held Saturday, November 14, 2020 at 4:00 pm at Chapin Baptist Church, 950 Old Lexington Hwy, Chapin, SC 29036. Burial will follow in the church’s Cemetery behind the church. Visitation will be immediately following the graveside service at the church’s outdoor pavilion just outside of the cemetery.

The Celebration service will be Live Streamed on the Chapin Baptist Church Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/chapinbaptistchurch) and will begin showing at 3:50 pm

I will always remember Ricky from school and the few times I saw him after high school smiling and having a kind word. He was always the same. It is no surprise he became a minister. I will always remember him as being one of the good guys.
