Jonathan Earl Merritt

 

Pelham – Jonathan Earl Merritt, 36, of 2860 Old Highway 14, died December 12, 1988, at his home after a brief illness.

 

He was a cosmetologist and owner and operator of Hair It Is, Inc., in Greenville. He was a member of Pelham First Baptist Church.

 

Surviving are his wife Candace Shopshear Merritt of the home; his parents, Cecil E. and Frances Pitman Merritt of Greer; a brother, Frank Wayne Merritt of Pelham; and a maternal grandmother, Ethel M. Pitman of Pelham.

 

Private memorial services will be held at a later date.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the recreation fund of Pelham First Baptist Church, 2720 Old Highway 14, Greer, SC 29650.
